Facebook sliding Google in the first position

Facebook finally managed to beat Google as the site most visited by internet users in US.

Research conducted by Experian Hitwise, as reported by the Straits Times, Saturday (01/01/2011), mentions, approximately 8.93 percent of U.S. Internet users visit Facebook, from January to November 2010.
While Google, the biggest search engine sites, must be willing to go down to second place with only generate 7.19 percent of total visits during that time. Meanwhile, approximately 3.52 percent of Yahoo Mail, Yahoo reaches approximately 3.30 percent and 2.65 percent of YouTube.
This is the first time Facebook successfully straddling Google and enter a list of the top most visited sites in US. Leadership Facebook turned out to have been achieved since March.
However, if all of Google’s Internet services put together, YouTube and Gmail, the world’s largest Internet company that pocketed approximately 9.85 percent of US Internet visits.
“This figure is far larger than Facebook, or Yahoo sites that total reached 8.12 percent of visits,”said the Experian Hitwise (okezone)
